Sydney Water wins National HR award – Oct 2009
Sydney Water has won the Best Change Management Strategy award at the 2009 Australian HR Leadership Awards.
"The award recognises the innovative and inclusive way Sydney Water is managing the major reform program for its 1,500 operations and maintenance staff – almost half Sydney Water’s entire workforce," Sydney Water, Managing Director Dr Kerry Schott said.
The strategy engaged staff from all levels to improve collaboration between the divisions and drive excellence through a 'Partnering for Success' initiative.
0 to 10 Relationship Management is one of the key engagement platforms for this initiative. 12 ETF Partnering Facilitators have been certified to directly support Sydney Water leader and over 40 Foundation, Alignment and Engagement workshops have been held.
"While the reform is ongoing, feedback from staff to date is positive. The 2009 staff satisfaction survey has employee engagement increasing by more than seven per cent in the Maintenance Division and by over 12 per cent in the Operations Division", said Dr Schott in a media release.
0 to 10RM and the partnering approach is to be adopted for another major cross-organisational change project in early 2010. A further 10 Partnering Facilitators will be trained and certified. 0 to 10 Relationship Management is proud to be associated with this ground breaking initiative.
